You know we love to get wild, and so do our good friends at Block 15 Brewing Co. Once again, they are bringing some of their best wild and sour beers to share with the good folks of Oregon City. If sour isn't your style, don't worry. It turns out Block 15 also makes AMAZING IPAs, and we will have a couple of those on tap as well.
Here is the Taplist:
"Ferme de la Ville Provision 2017" 5.4%
Our nod to the provisional Belgian farmhouse ales of yesteryear. First, we brew a rustic beer with Belgian malted barley, wheat and rye along with oats, locally gathered honey, noble hops and Belgian farmhouse yeast. This young beer is then blended with portions of barrel-matured farmhouse ales from our wild cellar, and bottle-conditioned to allow for a melding of flavor and body. The result is Ferme de la Ville—a refreshing, tart, golden ale showcasing complex aromas and flavor with a wonderfully dry and vinous finish.
"Turbulent Consequence Peche 2017" 6.0%
Each autumn, the Arzner family heads to Olson Farm and hand-picks winter snow white peaches at the peak of their season. These juicy beauties are then packed into oak barrels with select Turbulent Consequence from the prior year. Matured through the winter and bottled with locally gathered honey to create natural carbonation.
"Sour Cherry Blonde" 5.4%
Fermented in oak barrels with Brettanomyces Claussenii and tart Oregon cherries, this sour blonde ale bursts with tangy cherry character that's complemented by fruity esters, subtle barrel tannins, and a clean, refreshing acidity.
"Spontaneous Consequence Tropical Farm" 5.6%
Our Spontaneous Consequence program features beer spontaneously inoculated with resident flora in our wild cellar's coolship, followed by spontaneous fermentation and extended maturation in oak barrels, resulting in complexity and acidity that reflects our brewery's unique location. Brewed with a rustic farmhouse grist, Tropical Farm was fermented and matured in rum and neutral oak barrels with pineapple and guava, producing a tart, tropical and funky ale.
"Caves Saison" 4.5%
Primary fermented with Saison yeast and matured on Brettanomyces Claussenii, Caves Saison blends gently spicy yeast notes with a classic Brett C. profile featuring underripe pineapple, citrus pith, lemon zest, and a hint of black tea. Light-bodied and well-attenuated, this wild Saison finishes with a tart, tannic linger.
"Powder to the People" 7.2%
Born in the land of the free and the home of the IPA, this independently-brewed ale was crafted with 100% American ingredients by our free-thinking brew team. American grown malted barley blends with crisp American Ale yeast to pave the way for an explosion of pine, mango & zesty orange peel notes bursting from a bountiful addition of Northwest-grown hops. This hopped-up ode to our U.S. of A. is perfect for celebrating your independence this Summer. BOOM!
Block 15 "Sticky Hands" 8.1%
This experience ale features ample additions of sticky, resinous, lupulin packed hop buds grown in the Pacific Northwest. Enjoy a hop decrescendo that begins with an aromatic blast of tropical fruits, citrus and dank herbs, transitions into intense hop flavor and then ends with a balanced bitter finish, gently propped up by pale malted barley and fermented with our privately banked English yeast.
"Hypnosis 2015" 10.8%
Brewed with specialty English malt, this rustic barleywine was matured for 12 months in freshly-emptied French cognac barrels, imparting an entrancing complexity that features notes of plum, caramel, Red Flame raisins, marzipan, orange marmalade, and a whisper of barrel character
